Nurse Aide (CNA) Program

Through the course of this program, you will learn procedural skills such as bathing, dressing, positioning, and vital signs as well as key communication skills to provide compassionate care for those in need of personal care.  This Nurse Aide Program (CNA) is a Virginia Board of Nursing approved program.

40hr Personal Care Aide (PCA) Program

This course will provide you with hands-on training on how to assist residents with activities of daily living, patient transfers, nutrition, as well as oral and personal hygiene.  This 40hr PCA program meets Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) curriculum for Home Health and Hospice.  This program is also accepted by Virginia Department of Social Services for ‘direct patient care staff’ in licensed assisted living facilities.

Pharmacy Technician Program

Approved by the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy, this course is designed to prepare students to assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients.

68hr Medication Aide Program

This course will prepare you for Medication Management and Administration in assisted living facilities.  Through this course you will learn how to safely and effectively administer medications and assist residents in self-administering.  Upon completion of this course,  you will be eligible to apply to the Virginia Board of Nursing and take the Registered Medication Aide examination.  This 68hr Medication Aide Program is a Virginia Board of Nursing approved program.

32hr Medication Aide Program

Approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing, this course instructs participants on how to administer and assist residents in self-administering medication in the group home, adult day care, or correctional facility environment.

This class is intended for LPNs and RNs who wish to teach unlicensed persons about patient care.  This comprehensive 1-day training event will help you understand and engage with a variety of adult learners, establish, prepare, and present lesson plans in a Nurse Aide Program (CNA) approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.  Working Boxed-Lunch included with class.
